Process
From enquiry to a surface you can use

Call or send the form with the suburb and the job. A site measure is booked, usually within a few days.
Site measure and fixed quote
Dimensions, fall, access and drainage are assessed on site, along with any permit the council requires. The written quote is fixed.
Preparation and pour
Existing surface removed and the area prepped, with base material brought in where needed. Steel laid, council inspection at the crossover where one applies, then the pour. Most residential jobs are one to two days on site.
Cure and seal
Vehicles off for seven days. Exposed aggregate is sealed after the concrete has cured.

How our concreting is built
Two quotes can look the same on paper and be very different underground. This is what is included in ours. Full specification.
Preparation
The old surface removed and the area prepped, with base material brought in and compacted where the ground needs it. On Boroondara clay, preparation is where cheap concreting fails.
Reinforcement
Steel mesh in every slab, sized to what will sit on it, with a heavier specification quoted where vehicles and machinery will park.
Drainage
A fall directed away from the house on every slab, and a grated drain formed in where the block falls the wrong way.
Joints and cure
Control joints cut to direct any movement, seven days before vehicles, and exposed aggregate sealed after cure.

What does concreting cost in Camberwell?

Do I need council approval for a new driveway?
The concrete on your own land usually does not need approval. The crossover between your boundary and the road needs a vehicle crossing permit from the City of Boroondara before it is built, widened or moved, and in a heritage overlay a planning permit can be required on top of that. What your job needs is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
Will the finish suit a period or heritage home?
That is the point of choosing it properly. Stone, base colour and finish are selected from sample boards held against the house in daylight, so an exposed aggregate driveway can lift a red brick Federation frontage rather than fight it, and a coloured slab can pick up the render or the roofline. Can you work with tight side access or shared driveways?
Yes. Narrow runs between the house and the fence, gaps under a metre and drives shared between two period homes are standard Boroondara conditions. Access is assessed at the site measure, concrete is pumped where a truck cannot reach, and shared work is agreed with both owners in writing before anything is cut.
